About TMS

The TMS - Trailer/Truck Mounted Steamer was developed to help the City of Buffalo better service their aging water system. As hydrants get older, some lose the ability to drain water after use and freeze, thus rendering them inoperable. The TMS is a fully self contained thawing machine that utilizes high temperature steam to thaw a frozen hydrant very quickly, putting it back in service within minutes. Two units are currently in use in the City of Buffalo.

The TMS was developed by Jim Griep and with the addition of Dean Davis from Davis Trailer World, the TMS unit came to fruition with the manufacturing of the enclosure for the Truck Mounted version and the Trailer for the Trailer Mounted versions. This team allows the manufacturing to not only be of excellent construction, but also be customizable if needed.

What we do
Bohunk Enterprises produces and services the TMS Steamer in conjunction with Davis Trailer World to provide a self contained steamer used in heating and thawing a variety of units including Fire Hydrants, culverts and sewer lines.

I've been selling and servicing steam boilers and other related equipment for over 20 years. This, coupled with many years of experience in the mechanical, machinist and fabricating trades have helped lead to the development of the TMS.
